United Way Capital Area and KLRU-TV, Austin PBS invite you to join us for a special screening on January 28 of It All Adds Up: "The results speak volumes: More than 90 percent of Math Corps' students graduate from high school, and more than 80 percent attend college." What can we learn from their success? Join us for inspiration and ideas from It All Adds Up, produced by Academy Award-winning director Sue Marx, and featuring engaging and heart-warming interviews with alumni and current campers who testify to the lifechanging impact of the Math Corps. You'll also hear from local leaders in education about how to apply these principles right here in Austin. It All Adds Up

IT ALL ADDS UP profiles the teachers and students of Wayne State University's "Math Corps," a groundbreaking organization that partners struggling middle and high-school students from Detroit's public schools with collegians, who help teach vital math and life skills the kids need to succeed.
After 16 years, the program's results speak volumes: more than 90 percent of Math Corps' students graduate from high school, and more than 80 percent attend college. Produced by Academy Award-winning director Sue Marx, the documentary features engaging and heart-warming interviews with alumni and current campers who testify to the life-changing impact of the Math Corps.

explore a critical community issue such as education and financial
stability through film and dialogue. In addition to meaningful
conversation and film watching, participants will walk away with a list
of resources and opportunities on how to impact that particular issue
in our community.
